Here's the call we get all the time: a property has a front gate wired up and working, but there's a back pedestrian gate, a pool entrance, or a rear delivery gate sitting a couple hundred feet away that nobody can secure. The reason is almost never the hardware — it's the trench. Running conduit and cable across a parking lot or a landscaped courtyard can cost more than the gate operator itself, and on some sites there's simply no clean path to dig.

How OmniPoint actually works

There are two pieces to understand. The first is the Gateway — a single hub that mounts up high, usually on a rooftop, and handles the property's connection to the cloud over cellular or internet. The second is the EPM (Entry Point Module): a small wireless unit installed at each gate, door, or amenity that talks back to the Gateway. Power and a credential reader at the entry point, a radio link to the roof — no home-run cable in between.

The numbers are what make it practical for a real property. One Gateway reaches EPMs up to roughly a mile away and can manage up to 50 entry points. That means a sprawling apartment community, an HOA with scattered amenities, or a multi-building commercial park can run on a single system instead of a patchwork of separate panels and phone lines.

The entry points that usually get skipped

Front gates get secured because everyone uses them. It's the second-tier openings that get left on a lockbox or a code nobody's changed in years — and those are usually the exact ones a trench would be too expensive to reach. OmniPoint is built for them:

One property, one dashboard

Because every EPM reports back to the same Gateway, the whole property lives in one TrueCloud Connect™ account. Your office manages one credential list, issues QR and PIN visitor passes that work at any entry point, and pulls one entry log for the entire site. A resident who moves out gets removed once and loses access everywhere. A cleaning crew gets a pass that expires on its own. There's no walking gate to gate to reprogram codes.

The biggest install savings with OmniPoint isn't the hardware — it's the labor and the concrete we don't touch. When a back gate would need a few hundred feet of trenched conduit to reach, the wireless EPM often pays for itself before we've dug a single foot. And if you later add a gate, it's another EPM on the same Gateway, not a new cable run.
